Refund and cancellation

How cancelling works, and when money comes back. Written to be short, because a refund policy that takes ten minutes to read is telling you something.

Last updated 9 September 2026

For institutions

Subscriptions run for the period set out in your agreement and are paid in advance. You may choose not to renew at any time before the period ends, and we will not renew you automatically without telling you first.

Where a subscription is cancelled part-way through a paid period, refunds are as set out in your agreement. [YOUR PRO-RATA POLICY.]

For families buying directly

Anything a parent buys for their own child can be cancelled in one tap from the account that bought it, without an email, a phone call or a retention offer. That is a deliberate design choice, not a concession.

Cancelling stops the next payment. Access continues to the end of the period already paid for.

If something was charged in error, or a subscription renewed after you cancelled, write to hello@edustians.com and we will refund it. We are not going to argue with you about it.

How a refund reaches you

To the same method it was paid from, within [YOUR REFUND PERIOD] of the refund being approved. The payment provider's own timelines then apply, and we cannot make a bank move faster than it does.

School fees

Fees a parent pays to a school are the school's, not ours. We never hold that money. A refund of school fees is a matter between the family and the institution, and your school's own policy governs it.
