Who these terms are between

These terms are between [YOUR LEGAL ENTITY NAME] and the institution or individual using the service. Where your institution has signed a separate agreement with us, that agreement governs and these terms fill the gaps.

Accounts

Accounts are created by an institution for its own staff, students and their parents. There is no public sign-up, which is deliberate: a stranger must not be able to create an account claiming to belong to a school.

You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself. Tell your institution immediately if you think someone else has it — they can end every session on your account at once.

What you may not do

• Attempt to reach another institution's data, or another person's account.
• Probe, scan or test the security of the service without our written permission. If you have found something, write to us — see our security contact — and we will thank you.
• Use the service to send unlawful, misleading or harassing messages.
• Extract data in bulk by automated means for a purpose other than your own institution's records.

Your data is yours

An institution's records belong to the institution. We process them to run the service and for no other purpose. You can export them in a standard format at any time, including after you decide to leave.

Fees and payment

Subscription fees are as set out in your institution's agreement or order form, and are payable in advance for the period stated there. Payments a parent makes to a school pass between the parent and the school's own account through a licensed payment aggregator — Edustians never holds a school's fee money.

Availability

We aim for the service to be available at all times and will give notice of planned maintenance. Where your agreement includes a service level, that agreement states it. We do not promise the service will never be interrupted, and we will not pretend otherwise here.

Ending it

An institution may end its subscription as set out in its agreement. On ending, you may export your data, after which we delete it according to the retention terms agreed with you.

Liability

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at [YOUR JURISDICTION] have exclusive jurisdiction.
