Learning that adapts
Finding the gap before the examination does.
A few questions a day, chosen by what a student has and has not yet understood — with revision timed against forgetting, and progress shown as bands rather than a number nobody can interpret.
A child does not fall behind in March. They fall behind in August.
By the time a test reveals a gap, three months of work have been built on top of it. Everyone then treats the symptom — extra classes before the examination — instead of the thing that happened in August.
What Edustians does about it
Each of these is built and working today. Where something is not, the questions below say so plainly.
Fifteen to twenty-five minutes, not an evening
A daily plan of two or three things, built overnight by a job rather than assembled on the child's screen while they wait.
Difficulty that follows the child
Nine levels, and progression by demonstrated mastery rather than time spent. Three failures in a row drops the difficulty and offers an explanation — a child who fails five in a row stops using it.
Revision timed against forgetting
Topics come back for review when they are about to be forgotten, not on a fixed weekly cycle.
Bands, never a raw score
Not started, learning, practising, confident, mastered — with a trend arrow. A parent can read that. A probability of 0.62 they cannot.
The questions worth asking a vendor
Including the ones where our answer is no. A school that buys on a promise and finds a gap does not renew.
- Is this included, or does a parent pay for it?
- The school's own practice is part of the platform. The wider library a family can buy for home is a separate, optional purchase that the school has no part in — including no visibility of it.
- Which subjects and classes?
- Content is built subject by subject and class by class. The learning page lists exactly what is live today, and it will not list something that is not.
